  • 2 pounds chicken wings or drumsticks
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Green onions, chopped, for garnish


  1. In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, gochujang, rice vinegar, honey, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Mix well.
  2. Add chicken wings or drumsticks to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Remove chicken from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  6. Carefully place the chicken in the
