- 500g boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup fresh cream
- 2 tablespoons ghee or cooking oil
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
- 2 green chilies, sliced
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mix together yogurt, fresh cream, ginger, garlic, and all the spices (cumin seeds, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, and salt).
- Heat ghee or cooking oil in a deep pan or karahi over medium heat.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook until it changes color and is almost cooked through.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend together.
- Add sliced green chilies and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
