  • 1 can (10 oz) red enchilada sauce
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions: How to Cook Steak Enchilada

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the diced onion and garlic. Cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Return the steak to the skillet and add the cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Pour half of the enchilada sauce into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  6. Divide the steak mixture evenly among the flour tortillas, placing it in the center of each tortilla. Roll up the tortillas and place them seam side down in the baking dish.
  7. Pour the remaining enchilada sauce over the rolled tortillas and sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  8. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving. Enjoy your delicious steak enchiladas!
