Prep time: 10 minutes Cook time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, hot sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a zip-top bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and massage the marinade into the chicken to ensure it is evenly coated. Let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing any excess marinade to drip off, and place it in the skillet. Cook the chicken for 2-3 minutes on each side, until browned.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. Remove the skillet from the oven
