  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 4 cups mixed salad greens
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup sliced cucumber
  • 1/4 cup sliced red onion
  • 1/4 cup sliced pickles
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup crumbled bacon

  1. In a shallow dish, pour the buttermilk and add the chicken breasts. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken breasts from the buttermilk, allowing any excess to drip off, and dredge them in the flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  5. Carefully place the coated chicken breasts in the hot oil and cook for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
