Cube steak is a classic comfort food dish that is perfect for a hearty and satisfying meal. This slow cooker cube steak recipe is easy to prepare and results in tender and flavorful steak that practically melts in your mouth.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cube steaks
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions: How to Cook Slow Cooker Cube Steak

  1. Season the cube steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Place the sliced onions and minced garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Place the seasoned cube steaks on top of the onions and garlic.
  4. In a bowl, mix together the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and dried thyme. Pour this mixture over the cube steaks in the slow cooker.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, or until the cube steaks are tender.
  6. Once the cube steaks are cooked, remove them from the slow cooker and set aside.
  7. In a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Pour this slurry into the slow cooker and stir to combine with the cooking liquid.
  8. Cover and cook on high for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
