Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 1/2 cup diced carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, rice, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, diced onion, diced celery, diced carrots, chopped fresh parsley, garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  4. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
  5. After 1 hour, remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
  7. Garnish with additional chopped parsley, if desired.
