  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish


  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well to make the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes, or refrigerate for up to 4 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the soaked wooden skewers.
