The chicken frankie is a popular street food in India that is loved for its delicious flavors and easy preparation. This mouthwatering dish consists of a flavorful chicken filling wrapped in a soft roti (Indian bread). It is perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups boneless chicken, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 large capsicum (bell pepper), thinly sliced
  • 4-6 rotis (Indian bread)
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, marinate the chicken with ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, lemon juice, and salt. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until it is tender and cooked through.
  3. Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside.
  4. In the same pan, add sliced onions and capsicum. Sauté until they become soft and slightly caramelized.
  5. Add the cooked chicken back to the pan and mix well with the onions and capsicum. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Warm the rotis on a griddle or in a microwave.
  7. Place a roti on a flat surface and spoon some of the chicken filling onto the center of the roti.
  8. Sprinkle some chopped coriander leaves on top of the filling.
  9. Roll the roti tightly, folding in the
