Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions:

  1. In a shallow dish, combine the flour, salt, and black pepper. Dredge the chicken breasts in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  4. Slowly whisk in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, or until slightly reduced.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  6. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
  7. Remove the skillet from the heat and sprinkle the chopped parsley
