Progresso Chicken Parmesan Recipe


The Progresso Chicken Parmesan recipe is a delicious and satisfying dish that combines tender chicken breasts with a flavorful tomato sauce and melted cheese.   • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Progresso Italian Style Bread Crumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)


  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a shallow dish, combine the Progresso Italian Style Bread Crumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, dried basil, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Place the flour in another shallow dish, and the beaten eggs in a third shallow dish.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off any excess.
  5. Dip the floured chicken breast into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.
  6. Coat the chicken breast with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  7. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  8. Add the breaded chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
