  • 500 grams boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 cup fresh cream
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 green chili, slit
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing


  1. In a bowl, marinate the chicken pieces with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a deep pan, heat oil and butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook until it is no longer pink and slightly browned.
  4. Next, add the tomato puree and green chili to the pan. Mix well and cook for a few minutes until the tomatoes are cooked and the oil separates from the gravy.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and add the fresh cream. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
