Ingredients:

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken pieces and toss until they are coated evenly.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until it is golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Pour the sauce into the skillet with the garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  5. Add the cooked chicken back into the skillet and toss until it is coated with the sauce.
  6. Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the chicken and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  7. Remove the skillet from the heat and garnish with sliced green onions.
