Peri peri chicken is a delicious and spicy dish that originates from Portuguese cuisine. The chicken is marinated in a flavorful peri peri sauce and then grilled to perfection. Served with a side of rice, this dish is sure to satisfy your taste buds.

Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup peri peri sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups cooked rice

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine the peri peri sauce, olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a ziplock bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and massage the marinade into the chicken. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for maximum flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.
  5. Grill the chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
