Chicken egg rolls are a popular appetizer at Panda Express, known for their crispy exterior and flavorful filling. Recreate this delicious dish at home with this easy recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions: How to Cook Panda Express Chicken Egg Roll

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground chicken over medium heat until browned and cooked through.
  2. Add the garlic and onion to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in the cabbage, carrots, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and black pepper. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Remove the skillet from heat and let the filling cool slightly.
  5. Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner pointing towards you. Spoon about 2-3 tablespoons of the filling onto the center of the wrapper.
  6. Roll the wrapper tightly around the filling, folding in the sides as you go. Moisten the edges with water to seal the egg roll.
  7. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (180°C).
  8. Fry the egg rolls in batches for 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Remove the egg rolls with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  10. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
