Panda Express Chicken Egg Roll Recipe

  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup cabbage, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup carrots, grated
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • Vegetable oil, for frying


  1. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cabbage, carrots, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly combined.
  2. Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the chicken and vegetable mixture onto the center of the wrapper.
  3. Fold the bottom corner of the wrapper over the filling, tucking it in tightly. Fold the sides of the wrapper towards the center, then roll it up tightly.
  4. Moisten the top corner of the wrapper with a little water to seal the egg roll. Repeat this process with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  5. In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Carefully place the egg rolls into the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
