Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until they become fragrant and translucent.
  3. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook until they are browned on both sides. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the rice, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, sour cream, dried thyme, dried parsley, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
  5. Transfer the rice mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Place the browned chicken breasts on top of the rice.
  6. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the chicken and rice. Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or
