  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish


  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the dried thyme, dried rosemary, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Rub the chicken breasts with the olive oil, then sprinkle the herb mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken.
  4. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until browned.
  5. Remove the skillet from the heat and transfer it to the preheated oven. Bake the chicken for 15-20 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. While the chicken is baking, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  7. Slowly whisk in the chicken broth, then bring the mixture to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
