Nepali Chili Chicken Recipe
Nepali chili chicken is a popular dish in Nepal, known for its spicy and flavorful taste. This dish is made with succulent chicken pieces marinated in a blend of spices and cooked with onions, bell peppers, and green chilies. It is a perfect dish for spice lovers and can be enjoyed as an appetizer or as a main course.

- 500 grams chicken, boneless and cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 2 bell peppers, thinly sliced
- 4-5 green chilies, slit lengthwise
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
- 1 tablespoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Oil for cooking
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- In a bowl, combine the chicken pieces with soy sauce, tomato ketchup, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, minced garlic, grated ginger, and salt. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until it turns golden brown and is cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
- Add the sliced bell peppers and green chilies to the pan. Cook for a few minutes until they are slightly tender.
