Nepali Chicken Recipe

- 500g chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes, pureed
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
- 2 green chilies, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped green chilies. Sauté for another minute.
- Now, add the chicken pieces to the pan and cook until they are browned on all sides.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
- Add the spice mixture to the pan and stir well to coat the chicken evenly.
- Pour in the tomato puree and mix everything together.
- Cover the pan and let the chicken cook for about 20 minutes, or until it is tender and cooked through.
- Sprinkle garam masala over the chicken and give it a final stir.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
