  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1/2 cup carrots, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup peas
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package puff pastry sheets, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)


  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic, and sauté until they become translucent.
  3. Add the carrots and peas to the skillet, and cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle the flour over the vegetables, and stir well to coat.
  5. Slowly pour in the chicken broth while stirring continuously. Cook until the mixture thickens.
  6. Stir in the shredded chicken, heavy cream, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the filling is heated through.
  7. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut the pastry into squares or rectangles, depending on your preference.
  8. Place a spoonful of the chicken filling onto one half of each pastry square. Fold the other half over the filling, and press the edges together to seal.
