K&W San Francisco Chicken Recipe

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Green onions, chopped, for garnish


  1. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a ziplock bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for maximum flavor.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade, reserving the marinade for later use.
  5. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and golden brown.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water to make a slurry.
  7. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  8. Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet and bring to a simmer.
  9. Add the cornstarch slurry to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
