Indian Recipes With Rotisserie Chicken

  • 1 rotisserie chicken, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish


  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for another minute.
  4. Next, add the pureed tomatoes and cook until the oil separates from the mixture.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and add the cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.

  7. Add the shredded rotisserie chicken to the pan and mix well, ensuring that the chicken is coated with the spice mixture.
  8. Cover the pan and let the chicken simmer for about 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse into the meat.
