  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour


  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Rub the chicken breasts with the olive oil, then sprinkle the herb mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken.
  4. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
  5. Remove the skillet from the heat and transfer the chicken to a plate.
  6. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute, until lightly browned.
  7. Slowly whisk in the chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to incorporate any browned bits.
  8. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, until slightly thickened.
  9. Stir in the heavy cream and return the chicken breasts to the skillet.
  10. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and
