Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons calamansi juice (or lemon juice)
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Sliced onions
  • Mayonnaise

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, calamansi juice, oyster sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well to make the marinade.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a ziplock bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and massage the marinade into the chicken. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.
  5. Grill the chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and nicely charred. Remove from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes.
  6. While the chicken is resting, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  7. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce leaves, sliced tomatoes, and sliced onions.
