Chilli Chicken Air Fryer Recipe


Chilli chicken is a popular Indo-Chinese dish that is loved for its spicy and tangy flavors. This recipe takes a healthier twist by using an air fryer instead of deep frying the chicken.   • 1 lb boneless chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon red chilli sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 green chillies, slit
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped spring onions, for garnish


  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cornstarch, all-purpose flour, ginger-garlic paste, soy sauce, tomato ketchup, red chilli sauce, vinegar, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, and salt. Mix well to form a smooth marinade.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and coat them evenly. Let the chicken marinate for about 10 minutes.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  4. Place the marinated chicken pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10 minutes, flipping the chicken halfway through the cooking time.
  5. In
