Chicken White Karahi Recipe

  • 500 grams boneless chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/4 cup cooking oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • Salt to taste


  1. In a bowl, mix together yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, white pepper powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and mix well. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In a large pan, heat oil and butter over medium heat.
  4. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  5. Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook until it is tender and cooked through.
  6. Once the chicken is cooked, add the sliced green chilies and fresh coriander leaves. Mix well.
