Chicken Tikka Masala Soup Panera Recipe
Chicken tikka masala soup is a delicious and flavorful dish that combines the traditional flavors of chicken tikka masala with the comforting warmth of a soup. This recipe is inspired by the popular soup from Panera Bread and is perfect for a cozy meal on a chilly day.

Ingredients:
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons tikka masala paste
- 1 can (14 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the pot and cook for an additional 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Add the chicken pieces to the pot and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the tikka masala paste and cook for 1 minute to coat the chicken and vegetables.
- Add the diced tomatoes, chicken broth, salt, and black pepper to the pot. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Using an immersion blender or a regular blender, puree the soup until smooth. If using a regular blender, be sure to blend in batches and vent the lid to prevent hot soup from splattering.
- Return the soup to the pot and stir in the heavy cream. Cook for an additional 5 minutes to heat through.
