Chicken Seekh Kabab Pakistani Recipe

Chicken Seekh Kabab is a popular Pakistani dish that is made with minced chicken and a blend of aromatic spices. These kababs are traditionally cooked on skewers over a charcoal grill, giving them a smoky and delicious flavor. They are perfect as an appetizer or can be served as a main course with naan or rice.

Prep Time: 20 minutes Cook Time: 15 minutes

  • 500 grams minced chicken
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for grilling

  1. In a large bowl, combine the minced chicken, chopped onion, green chilies, fresh coriander, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, garam masala powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent them from burning.
  4. Take a handful of the chicken mixture and mold it onto a skewer, shaping it into a long cylindrical shape. Repeat with the remaining mixture and skewers.
  5. Brush the kababs with oil and place them on the preheated grill. Cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and slightly charred.
