  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken drumsticks
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 sweet Italian sausages, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions:

  1. Season the chicken thighs and drumsticks with salt and pepper. Dredge them in flour, shaking off any excess.

  3. In the same skillet, add the sausage pieces and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Add the sliced onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  5. Add the sliced bell peppers to the skillet and cook until they begin to soften, about 5 minutes.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth and white wine, scraping the bottom of the skillet to release any browned bits.
