Ingredients:

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic. Mix well to make the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to overnight in the refrigerator.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the soaked wooden skewers.
  5. Place the skewers on the preheated grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
  6. Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired.
