  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine the dried oregano, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Place the chicken breasts on a cutting board and drizzle them with olive oil.
  4. Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts, pressing it gently to adhere.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the chicken breasts. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are browned.
  6. Transfer the chicken breasts to a baking dish and pour the chicken broth over them.
  7. Arrange the lemon slices on top of the chicken breasts.
  8. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
