Chicken Rangoon Recipe


Chicken Rangoon is a delicious appetizer that combines the flavors of cream cheese, chicken, and spices wrapped in a crispy wonton wrapper. This dish is perfect for parties or as a snack. The prep time for this recipe is 20 minutes and the cook time is 10 minutes.


  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • Oil for frying


  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded chicken, green onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and ground ginger. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with water, then fold it in half diagonally to form a triangle. Press the edges firmly to seal.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Carefully place the filled wontons in the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove the fried wontons from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil.
  7. Serve the Chicken Rangoon hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
