Chicken Rangoon is a delicious appetizer that combines the flavors of cream cheese, chicken, and spices wrapped in a crispy wonton wrapper. This dish is perfect for parties or as a snack for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions: How to Cook Chicken Rangoon

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Place a small spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center of a wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water and fold it in half to form a triangle. Press the edges to seal.
  3. Heat oil in a deep fryer or a heavy-bottomed pot to 350°F (180°C).
  4. Carefully place the filled wontons in the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Remove the Chicken Rangoon from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
