Chicken Rangoon Recipe
Chicken Rangoon is a delicious appetizer that combines the flavors of cream cheese, chicken, and spices wrapped in a crispy wonton wrapper. This dish is perfect for parties or as a snack. The prep time for this recipe is 20 minutes and the cook time is 10 minutes.
Ingredients:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 24 wonton wrappers
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded chicken, green onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and ground ginger. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
- Moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with water, then fold it in half diagonally to form a triangle. Press the edges firmly to seal.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Carefully place the filled wontons in the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove the fried wontons from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil.
- Serve the Chicken Rangoon hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
