- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
- 24 wonton wrappers
- Oil for frying
Instructions: How to Cook Chicken Rangoon
- In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Place a small spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center of a wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water and fold it in half to form a triangle. Press the edges to seal.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or a heavy-bottomed pot to 350°F (180°C).
- Carefully place the filled wontons in the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove the Chicken Rangoon from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Serve hot with sweet and sour sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
