Chicken Patties Recipe Pakistani


Chicken patties are a popular snack in Pakistani cuisine. These delicious patties are made with minced chicken and a blend of aromatic spices, encased in a crispy golden crust. They are perfect for tea time or as an appetizer for parties. The prep time for this recipe is 20 minutes and the cook time is 30 minutes.


  • 500g minced chicken
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 4-5 sheets of puff pastry
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)


  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the minced chicken, chopped onion, green chilies, fresh coriander, ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add the chicken mixture. Cook on medium heat until the chicken is fully cooked and the mixture is dry. Set aside to cool.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  4. Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into desired shapes for the patties.
  5. Place a spoonful of the cooled chicken mixture onto one half of each pastry shape. Fold the other half over the filling and seal the edges by pressing with a fork.
  6. Brush the patties with beaten egg for a shiny golden crust.
  7. Arrange the patties on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
