Chicken patties are a popular snack in Pakistani cuisine, perfect for tea time or as a light meal. These crispy and flavorful patties are made with minced chicken and a blend of aromatic spices, encased in a crispy golden crust. They are best enjoyed with a side of mint chutney or ketchup.

  • 500g minced chicken
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Bread crumbs for coating
  • Oil for frying

Instructions: How to Cook Chicken Patties Pakistani

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the minced chicken, chopped onion, green chilies, garlic, ginger, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, and fresh coriander leaves. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan and sauté the chicken mixture until the chicken is cooked through and the mixture is dry. Allow it to cool.
  3. Shape the chicken mixture into small patties of your desired size.
  4. Dip each patty into the beaten egg and then coat with bread crumbs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the patties in batches until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  6. Remove the patties from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
