Chicken Papaya Hawaii Recipe

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 ripe papaya, peeled, seeded, and cubed
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)


  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, lime juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the sliced red bell pepper and cook for 2-3 minutes, until slightly softened.
  6. Add the cubed papaya and pineapple chunks to the skillet and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  7. Pour the prepared sauce over the fruits and vegetables in the skillet.
