Ingredients:

  • 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup soy sauce

  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 2 potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 cup shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup bamboo shoots, sliced
  • 1 cup water chestnuts, sliced
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions: How to Cook Chicken Nishime Hawaii

  1. In a large pot, combine the chicken broth, soy sauce, and sugar. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the pot and simmer for 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
