Chicken Kulambu Recipe

- 1 lb chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 sprig curry leaves
- 1-inch ginger, minced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green chilies, slit
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tbsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions: How to Cook Chicken Kulambu
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add cumin seeds and curry leaves.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Stir in minced ginger, garlic, and green chilies. Cook for a couple of minutes.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Mix well.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
- Add the chicken pieces and mix well to coat with the spices.
- Pour in the coconut milk and season with salt. Cover and cook on low heat until the chicken is tender.
- Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
