Chicken keema is a popular Pakistani dish made with ground chicken and a blend of aromatic spices. Ingredients:

  • 500 grams ground chicken
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chilies to the pan. Sauté for another minute.
  3. Add the ground chicken to the pan and cook until it is no longer pink, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
  4. Once the chicken is cooked, add the cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly with the spices.
  5. Cover the pan and let the chicken cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  6. Remove the lid and sprinkle garam masala over the chicken keema. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
