Chicken Gizzard Recipe Chinese

  • 1 pound chicken gizzards
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped (for garnish)


  1. Wash the chicken gizzards thoroughly and remove any excess fat or membranes.
  2. In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the chicken gizzards and cook for 10 minutes to tenderize them. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a wok or large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Stir-fry for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the cooked chicken gizzards to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they are slightly browned.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and black pepper. Pour the sauce over the chicken gizzards and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the gizzards are well coated.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions.
  7. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
