Chicken Maison is a delicious and flavorful dish that is perfect for a special dinner or a casual weeknight meal. This recipe combines tender chicken breasts with a creamy mushroom sauce, creating a dish that is both comforting and elegant.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender.
  5. Add the chicken broth to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes, or until the broth has reduced by half.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and dried thyme. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  7. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and simmer for 2-3 minutes, or until heated through.
  8. Serve the chicken maison with the mushroom sauce spooned over the top. Enjoy!
