Chicken Fajita Taco Recipe

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, guacamole, salsa


  1. In a large bowl, combine the chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the sliced chicken and toss until well coated with the spice mixture.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes, or until cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the sliced bell peppers, onion, and minced garlic. Cook for 5-6 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  4. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the vegetables and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  5. Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or in the microwave.
