Chiavetta’S Chicken Recipe


Chiavetta's Chicken is a classic dish originating from Western New York, known for its tangy and flavorful marinade that infuses the chicken with a delicious taste. This recipe is perfect for grilling outdoors during the summer months, but can also be cooked indoors using an oven or stovetop.

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Chiavetta's marinade (can be found in specialty stores or online)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions: How to Cook Chiavetta'S Chicken

  1. Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the Chiavetta's marinade, minced garlic, dried thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the marinade mixture over the chicken, making sure each piece is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
