- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (adjust to taste)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro, for garnish
- Salt, to taste
Instructions:
- In a bowl, combine the yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, cumin, coriander, turmeric, paprika, and chili powder. Mix well.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and coat them evenly. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until it becomes translucent.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet. Cook for another 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the marinated chicken to the skillet and cook until it is browned on all sides
