Sable Fish Recipe
Sablefish, also known as black cod, is a rich and buttery fish that is perfect for a special dinner. This recipe features sablefish marinated in a miso glaze and then baked to perfection. The result is a tender and flavorful dish that will impress your guests.

- 4 sablefish fillets
- 1/4 cup white miso paste
- 2 tablespoons mirin
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Green onions, chopped, for garnish
Instructions: How to Cook Sable Fish
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the miso paste, mirin, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic to make the marinade.
- Place the sablefish fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, making sure to coat each fillet evenly. Marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Remove the fillets from the marinade and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Discard the remaining marinade.
- Bake the sablefish in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove the sablefish from the oven and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
